Research Interests My research interests are concerned mainly with the mechanisms of microstructure and texture evolution during solidification, solid-state phase transformation and deformation & annealing with particular emphasis on the light metals and their composites. Current researches include:
Research Funding Over the past ten years, extensive research funding has been received from the Australian Research Council (ARC) and other sources. Funding has been received for thermomechanical processing equipment together with a wide range of SEM/TEM/XRD/EBSD facilities for the advanced microstructural and crystallographic analysis of materials.
